Seoul, South Korea — Personal Taxi (working title) is a forthcoming Korean drama inspired by Lee Mo-se’s acclaimed webtoon. As a human-healing music drama, Personal Taxi tells the story of a one-of-a-kind taxi that only accepts reservations from passengers who each bring along a song and a personal story with their taxi. The taxi thus becomes a journey and a healing space of empathy and human connection.
Produced in Korea by Big In Square and operational partner Studio Flow, this is a global, international co-production with Japan’s Fuji TV. Personal Taxi has been selected as part of the Korea Creative Content Agency’s OTT Specialized Content Production Support Project, so the project has serious backing and stability.

Story Premise
The protagonist in the show, Go (Cha Tae-hyun), is certainly not your everyday taxi driver. Go featured a taxi that only accepted pre-scheduled rides. Each passenger, while very much a unique individual, had an arguably simple yet telling and poignant story to share.
It is through conversations and a requested song that memories, emotion, and life experiences become tangible for each passenger. Each episode serves as an anthology series; each is an independent story about him, through the eyes of a passenger, while Go and his taxi are consistently present.
Cast & Key Characters
- Cha Tae-hyun as Go, the lead taxi driver; he serves as the emotional anchor of the series.
- Mimi (Oh My Girl): her first real role in acting, whether a passenger or a recurring character.
- Lee Yeon-hee: as part of the main cast, with different generational perspectives.
- Supporting cast: Lee Jae-in, Im Se-mi, Hyun Bong-sik, Ye Ji-won, Joo Jong-hyuk, Ahn Ji-ho, Im Ha-ryong, Ye Soo-jung — they appear as passengers or in supporting roles in one episode, to create a story.

Themes & Tonal Elements
- Empathy & Healing: The core of the dramatization is providing warmth and comfort to our audience.
- Music as a Medium: Each passenger’s requested song helps transport them through time and memories.
- Normal Lives, Extraordinary Storytelling: Demonstrating how ordinary and everyday stories can turn into something truly special.
- Generational Diversity: A range of characters means various demographics can identify with each character.
Production & Global Collaboration
Being directed by Jeon Chang-geun (Mystic Pop-up Bar), whose directorial style is delicate and emotionally sincere, it is likely that the direction of Okay will be strong.
The score will be crafted by music directors Park Sung-il and Han Saem, known for their work on My Mister and Signal, which will add another layer emotional depth.
The drama is being developed as a global project and co-producing with Fuji TV, they may release a multi-language project with subtitles and dubbing for release in Asia, North America and Europe.
